Three months ago our calendars no doubt included a number of events and initiatives for women-only audiences – some open to all but many restricted to female participants.  We know all too well at Pathbuilders that if we had not acted to redesign our programs to meet the needs of both women and men that we would be standing on principle with no clients.  But, how are you handling this transition personally?  And, are your organizations rethinking what they can and will support?

No doubt, in the past you might have sponsored events to celebrate or support women, directly invested in women-only development efforts, or even simply invited a group of women from your organization into your home.  Yet, today these efforts may draw attention or even create risk for your organization.  Our last Inspiria® dinner was held just a week before the EEOC proclamation citing single-gendered programming, mentoring, and networking as grounds for claims.  And we at Pathbuilders along with many in our space went to work to pivot our offerings to extend the value proposition for an inclusive base of participants.  But, some organizations have remained focused on efforts to support, develop, and advance women.  So, how are you personally engaging with women in a professional environment?
